Over the last four decades, our team of professionals has been invited into thousands of homes in the central Ohio area. Jeffrey S. Brown founded J.S. Brown & Co. in 1978 with a vision of raising the standard for residential remodeling in Central Ohio.
Nearly five decades later, that vision continues to shape the company.
Jeff’s commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, professionalism, and lifelong learning established the foundation on which J.S. Brown & Co. continues to grow.
His influence can still be seen in the company’s meticulous approach to planning, its investment in professional education, and its belief that the best remodeling work comes from understanding the problem fully before building the solution.

Monica Lewis
President
With more than two decades at J.S. Brown & Co., Monica Lewis leads the company with a focus on exceptional client experiences, professional development, thoughtful design, and continuous improvement.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, Monica holds numerous nationally recognized remodeling certifications, including CMKBD, MCR, UDCP, and CRD.
She is deeply involved in advancing the remodeling profession, serving as Chair of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s Finance & Audit Committee, contributing to the development of NARI’s Certified Remodeling Designer (CRD) certification, founding the local NARI Women in Remodeling Committee, and serving as a regional and national judge for Contractor of the Year, Remodeler of the Year, and Qualified Remodeler Master Design Awards.
Her leadership brings together design expertise, industry knowledge, and a commitment to creating a remodeling process in which clients can make informed decisions with confidence.
