The start of summer is the perfect time to clean and maintain your TimberTech Decking and Railing. Here are some deck cleaning tips and instructions from our friends at TimberTech.

Clean in small, manageable areas, rinsing thoroughly before moving on to the next section. Avoid getting TimberTech DeckCleaner on other surfaces, including glass, stainless steel, painted surfaces, plants, and vegetation. Also don’t let the cleaner dry on the surface and avoid cleaning in direct sunlight. Rinse decking thoroughly. A garden hose is all that’s required but you can use a power washer (with a maximum pressure of 1,500 psi) for rinsing. Use the recommended brush for your TimberTech decking. For Advanced PVC Decking and Porch, we recommend a stiff, natural fiber brush, but don’t use that on TimberTech Composite Decking, as it can dull the surface. For Composite Decking, it’s best to use a medium to stiff nylon brush.
